How I run a $250,000/year Notion template business.

It all started with 1 simple question:

“Can I actually get paid for a Notion template?”

My thesis was that Notion template were indeed monetizable due to the huge interest I had seen on the Reddit post I shared.

But I needed proof.

So, I decided to create a completely fresh template and see if anyone would buy it.

The next challenge? Deciding what to build.

I took a hard look in the mirror and asked myself:

"What am I missing in my life right now?"

And then it hit me:

I was tracking my workouts, daily steps, water intake, and vitamins—but in an old, beat-up notebook.

What if there was a digital system to track all these health metrics?, I remember thinking.

After a long night of manically Googling, I found no other templates that solved this problem.

So, I decided to build it myself.

Two days, 24 cups of coffee, and 15 YouTube tutorials later, I had created what I called Health Hub.

​A health tracking system with literally everything I needed at the time.​

Building this taught me fundamental Notion skills that would soon come in handy.

Satisfied with my final build, I wondered: “Will it sell?”

I went to Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook Groups to share screenshots of this new template everywhere.

The response? Overwhelming.

People wanted it.

So, I put on my marketer hat.

I went to Canva and created the worlds most beautiful mockup...

(this was actually the mockup I promoted, lmao)

Next, I setup a simple Gumroad landing page that said:

"Sign up to the waitlist now and I will give you the template for free when it launches"

The goal? Gather support for a Product Hunt launch.

Fast forward to December 4, 2021—The Launch Day.

By this time, I had 100 signups (emails) that wanted the template.

So I sent them an email and asked for their support.

About 40 people came through, and the upvotes started rolling in on Producthunt.

By the end of the day, Health Hub secured 80+ upvotes and a spot as the #10 Product of the Day.

Then, something incredible happened.

I made my first sale.

FIVE. DOLLARS.

I screamed so loud that my girlfriend thought I’d lost my mind.

She didn’t understand why I was so excited, but I knew...

I knew right there and then, that my life was about to change forever.

Those $5 weren’t just money—they were proof that I could in fact “print” money from my phone with Notion templates.

And then the sales kept coming in, one after another.

By the end of the launch, I had made $163.

It wasn’t much, but it felt like finding cheat codes to life.

That one particular moment sparked something in me.

I had done what I previously thought to be impossible.

Generating $163 out of nothing.

And if I could make $163 from one template...

What would happen if I created 5 templates? 10 templates? 100 templates?

And so, I did.

It took no more than 6 months from this moment in time,

Until I had built up a consistent revenue stream of $2,000/month.

It was at that moment that I quit my 9-5 job for good and never looked back.

That's the end of the story for now.

I hope you understand that I am not a guru. I'm not special in any way.

I'm just a regular dude who was tired of my 9-5 and who found an untapped business model to break free.
